About Niecy's Loving Hands

Niecy's Loving Hands was created just under a year ago, born out of a brand-new chapter in life. After retiring in April 2025, I was excited to embrace something fresh and fun. My daughter — and then the rest of my family — encouraged me to find a new hobby, and they gifted me a crochet kit to get started.

I hated it... lol.

But scrolling online one day, I stumbled across something called "chunky yarn" — the kind you can knit with your fingers! Intrigued, I ordered 2 balls of yarn just to try it out. My thinking? If I don't like it, I only wasted a little yarn money. Well... I actually liked it! I ordered more, and before I knew it, I had created my very first medium-sized blanket.

I was so proud of myself that I posted it on Facebook. Immediately, I got orders. Paying orders!!! People trusted this novice — lol!

Fast forward to today: I have made 30+ custom handmade blankets, throws, bed scarves, pillows, and more. My Go Knicks Blanket was even featured on ABC Channel 7! And that moment came with a little extra love — my close friends encouraged me to follow up by mailing two blankets directly to the newsroom anchors, so they could have a cozy piece of Niecy's Loving Hands to enjoy for themselves.

I love my new hobby — and apparently, it loves me too! Every piece is made with care, creativity, and a whole lot of heart. Thank you for supporting Niecy's Loving Hands. 🧶❤️
